This is like the point where I'm starting to feel familiar with the "Hellblazer" universe enough that I treat the recurring characters with the same familiarity as people I know in real life, something that is like my litmus test for good serial fiction in any medium or genre. It helps that out of all the writers of HB I've read, it's Ennis next to Delano who emphasizes the social realism the most.
