The entire book, is past present and the final breaking point for Mirabell’s was when he did not believe her when she told him that Derek and Heather have been together Before Mira went away to college. She saw Heather pregnant & learned that it was Derek’s baby, but she tried to have Jaxson sleep with her on prom night so that she could pretend it was his. So now Jax realizes that Mira was telling the truth.
