Did you know that the Germans (Prussians) sieged and captured Paris in 1870? Because I didn’t.

Then in 1914 Germans would take over much of Northern France again, nearly taking Paris. Then the German Nazis would take Paris again in 1940. A Frenchman born in 1860 could have watched Germans invade home three times in his lifetime.
