this was a stunning book. the portrayal of the abuse Circe faces was so well done i felt nauseous every other time i picked up this book, and once i got halfway through i couldn't put it down. Circe doesn't get a single win until the last ~80 pages. i left feeling hollow, aching, and just a little hopeful- the same sort of feeling i had after song of Achilles. another beautiful work from madeline miller!
