The ties to Maine history brought me to the book but the love stories have kept my interest 😉 I picked up “A Midwife’s Tale” by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich; which has many more direct entries from her journals included. I’ll be interested to see how the info in that book lends more understanding to this novel…
