reading film theory so i can write about film with more authority but it keeps reminding me why i don’t like it that much: it’s just people focusing on a specific aspect of filmmaking, devoid of ANY narrative and historical context, giving opinions slightly different from each other to the point of exhaustion. i hope the essays themselves are less confusing.
