Not going any further - spoiler for me was when he finds a knife and a “black cape with red lining” in his uncles artefacts that are stored in the National Library of Wales.
His ancestor is the person who donated thousands of books to the NLW. Some from the 15th century. An awesome thing to do.

I Just don’t want to spend hours reading about tenuous links to the horrific crimes of 1888.
