Idk why I neglected to look for a glossary until now. I definitely should have read it 100 pages ago if not at the beginning.

I don't think I understand how the magic works. The few limitations feel so random, i.e. Skye can summon Astral Beings to do grunt work but she can't summon fire. But she builds a hearth in the shelter anyway for no apparent reason.
