Keller couldn’t swear to it, but it seemed to him that you didn’t see as many pay phones as you used to, and he supposed it was just a matter of time before they disappeared. Everybody had a cell phone nowadays. Pretty soon you’d have to have a cell phone.

Yep, that reality is here and I hate it. I don't want a stinking cell phone but I just might be forced to get one. Grrrrrrrrrr.....

In Toronto I have still seen a few rare examples of pay phones at the airport, hotels and in the subway (underground) system.
