The convicted criminal was executed. She tried to stop it and find something from the trial but she couldn't do it in time. He was killed by electric chair.

She went to an attorney about what her and the convict found but they think it might be too late. There racing against time with the mans execution being scheduled.

They found something with the law that can help them out. But they have to do it fast or it wont work.

I think the author is wanting the reader to be heavily involved on whether or not they can find something happened. So that they can get a retrial. Because he navigates us on their search for a loophole or a mistake made in court.

She is going over past stories where the court decided if a death sentence was cruel. In most cases it wasn't.

Helen got news from her attorney that Patrick will no longer be on death row. She talked to Patrick's brother and his brother accused patrick of killing the people in court which is why Patrick is convicted.

Helen is visiting with Eddie 40 hours before he is to be executed. They were talking to pass the time then she had to leave. She is waiting on a call from her attorney that says Eddie has a stay and that he will not be executed.

I still really like it, the author is talking about all the people who have been sentenced to death by the electric chair. She is also explaining scientifically how the chair works. She was put down as spiritual advisor so she is able to stay with the felon and witness the execution.

The book is really good so far. It's talking a lot about the background of the narrator. Also about the big decision the narrator is going to make on whether to be pen pals with a convicted felon.

Learned about what the convicted felon did. The main character is deciding whether he wants to be pen pals with the convicted felon. I find it really interesting so far.
