I’m really loving this so far. The whole dark Paris vibes are really appealing to me, and I always love having a large cast of characters to read about. The world-building and magic elements are super cool, but I actually am finding it a little difficult to understand. I may be stupid or something, but I’m still a bit confused. Not so confused that it’s unreadable though. Overall i’m excited to keep reading!

i haven’t been reading much, just because i don’t have time, but the little i’ve read of this book is AMAZING!! already so atmospheric and I love how the magic system is a bit inspired by Biblical times. the set up and characters remind me of Six of Crows, my favorite book of all time. I think I’m really going to like this!! Séverin gives Kaz vibes (and has already demonstrated an example of scheming face)
