This book shocked me, despite the fact that I knew some of the details as reported in the media when Warren Jeffs was arrested. Even so, I could never have imagined the depth of the atrocities, the level of abuse, and the overwhelming heartache some of these women had to endure in the name of being “obedient” to their husbands and to God.
