Ohoooo what do we have here? I kind of love that we are fighting for a disintegrated friendship without yet knowing what caused the meltdown. We are fighting for the memories of a person loved, not necessarily the person as they are now.

Girls can be strange in our fierceness and fascination, in our devoted friendship and imagination, and this is capturing those youthful, viciously played daydreams so perfectly.

The scalp tingles of memory are prickly and proud. I miss those young dreamers of youth, I miss being one of them. I also wonder if I could possibly recall even a moment on the playground with much clarity. Alas, not likely.
