I was considering relenting on my previous rants about the book. Legit, Part II was winning me back. But the "reveal" the author just dropped has made me SO MAD. Helen casually mentions her daughter--one of the most important witnesses in the entire book--is dead. The author doesn't wait one sentence before rambling about IRL Men in Black. If it were possible, I'd rate this book zero fucking stars.

I like how they couldn't even be bothered to keep Helen's conversion with Harry Nadien in Part 1 even remotely consistent with her "factual" recollections of it in Part 2.

When teaching the hybrid English, the government sends her teacher Dick and Jane books instead of appropriate college-level workbooks. Congrats, book, that's actually kind of funny!
