Almost done! I love this book so much, but I’m really just not in the mood for it rn so it’s not hitting. But I want to finish it before the end of the year so…

“As ready as I’ll ever be” whenever I read a line like this my mind automatically goes “BELIEVE ME, I KNOW, IVE SUNK PRETTY LOW. BUT WHATEVER IVE DONE YOU DESERVE”

The other like five books I’m currently reading rn are crying as I start yet ANOTHER book. But I just really wanted to read this one again, ok?😭

300 pages went FAST
This book is absolutely amazing btw. I really love seeing this take on Peter; bringing out the kindness and happiness in him, instead of the darkness and evil that so many retellings of Peter Pan seem to focus on

Varian? Is that you? (I’m sorry I’m far too obsessed with Tangled the series that I cannot read that phrase anymore without singing)

So Peter’s going by the name “Barry.” I bet this is in reference to the author of the original Peter Pan book, J.M Barrie!! If so, I’m so happy. Also, one of the little girls in the book was named Rachel. This is a further stretch, but in the 2003 version of Peter Pan, Rachel Hurd-Wood played Wendy! Coincidence? I think not!
