And we’re back to not communicating. Or rather it hasn’t been fixed yet. Simon should be honest with Declan and tell him outright that he’s worried about Greg and is jealous. And Dec should not be meeting Greg without Simon there, especially in a public place what with them both being celebrities.
Right now Simon, Roger and Fran are on their way there. Let’s see what happens.

Almost done with the 3rd quarter. Ok so Heyward is a terrible person for using Dec like that. But I honestly don’t get why Simon and Dec are so surprised by it. They both expected it from the start. And Heyward told Dec that he’d be including their relationship in the book. So yeah I don’t get the shock. Disappointment would have fit better; as in they were hoping for better but didn’t really believe in it.

Ok so I just finished that chapter which also marked the end of the first quarter. And there was progress! They dealt with it pretty well, I thought. If this was the old Simon and Dec from book 1, this would have been quite the conflict that lasted a lot longer. And this goes back to what I said in my review of book 1. It’s really easy to say “I will fix this personal flaw and do better from now on”, but it’s quite difficult to actually do that all the time. So yes while there was some slipping back into bad habits, it wasn’t a complete regression. I really live that. That this relationship is so real, just like it was in book 1 and is continuing to be in book 2.
