In today's chapter things take a turn for the worse in the arena, many people die and people start to not be allies anymore. And Katniss and her crew find out about a deadly fog that spreads like a forest fire. I think Katniss is the smartest one in the group because she was able to pick up about a forcefield and about how there is deadly fog.

In the chapter I read today Katniss realised that her chances of winning the games have gotten even more slim. This happened because Peeta during the interview said that he got Katniss pregnant now Katniss has to pretend she is pregnant. I have a feeling that Katniss is going to end up not faking and the capitol is going to find out she is not actually pregnant.

In this chapter Katniss and Cinna grew closer together and Katniss was able to see Cinna's full colors. What I mean by this is when Katniss was being interviewed by Caesar, Caesar wanted Cinna to stand up and bow, but when he did this Katniss remembered what Cinna said, ‘’Don't worry, I always channel my emotions into my work. That way I don't hurt anyone but myself.’’

In today's chapter Katniss makes a bold move when doing a private training lesson with all of the gamemakers watching. She also attempts to become allies with people from district 3, but turns out all of the other tributes find them weird and an easy target, so things are not going the way Katniss wants them to.

In today's pages I learned more about the victors that they are up against, and how every single one of the tributes are experienced killers and know how to fight. In the pages Katniss and Peeta also both tried making friends with the tributes.

In today's chapter I found out more about Katniss and Peeta's competition. Most of the competition consists of a variety of victors some being young and some being old and in wheelchairs. I think Katniss is starting to understand that she might be able to make it out of the arena alive and not die.

In this chapter Katniss and Haymitch grew closer together and started to understand each other more, because Katniss got to watch the year Haymitch was in the hunger games. Katniss also realized that Haymitch might be smarter and not just an old drunk after all.

Today's chapter is very emotional for Katniss, Peeta, Effie, and Haymitch. I also found out more about how Katniss and Peeta learn their competition for the games. They had to re-watch all of the existing victor's hunger games tapes which took a few days. I also think that Katniss is slowly starting to go crazy because she is having freakouts and a lot of nightmares.
