I had such conflicting feelings picking this up because I’m a bit jealous of Givens. Christology in Russian lit is a niche special interest of mine, and if someone gave me unlimited time and money for a PhD on any subject of my choosing, my dissertation would probably come out looking like this book. That said, Im excited to delve into it.
