Some things are kinda confusing rn, such as how long Islyne’s been sleeping for (at one point it says since 5 years old, but then that she’s been sleeping for 5 years so that can’t be right cause she’s an adult now as far as I understand). Also not sure what these people were cursed for, like what did their dad do that was so bad? Though maybe that will be explained later.

And as expected, he found out Islyne was lying and now he’s mad. Ik he’s gonna forgive her eventually, but like, we’re 75% of the book in and there was basically nothing. It always repeats the same concepts like Islyne being freer, Conall needing to marry her for a claim to the throne… Plus why is he repeating all the thoughts we already saw Islyne have? Kinda too much imo.

It’s honestly kinda stupid that Islyne refuses to be freed from the curse. Like, she knows something dangerous is going on and the kingdom and her brothers are under threat, and all she cares about is chilling in the forest? If she’d just said the truth to Conall and explained her suspicions from what she’d seen he would likely have believed her and they could’ve done something about it.

Why is Connall telling his plans to who he thinks is some random servant of the princess? Like, even if she actually was, didn’t he think she might tell the princess what he was plotting? These people are so stupid 💀
Also there’s a lot of repetition, like I get it, you’re freer as a cursed ghost than you were when you were actually awake. No need to say that every chapter.

The way the king and nobles treated Islyne makes no sense?? Why would you force your kid to live in isolation if you want her to be a good wife for a noble eventually? He should’ve had her raised for this, not sent her away. And the courtiers laughing at her in her face is crazy. She’s still royalty and could probably have them punished somehow.

Why is the word “bully” repeated so many times in just three chapters? Of all the words one could use to describe abusing power… Like, this is a fantasy set in a medieval-like world, I’m sure a more fitting term could have been found.
