So far an excellent, clear and well written book. what is at stake regarding immortality of the soul and resurrection of the body? If the immortality of the soul is seen as a miraculous working of God at the beginning of creation (i.e. a supernatural infusion), as opposed to a *preserving* of the soul for future resurrection, than the doctrines are incompatible.
