Have you read his earlier book, Middlesex? Very thought provoking.

Yes! Very interesting. That's what prompted me to read this one--otherwise, I probably would have never read a book with The Marriage Plot for a title. :-) This author is so knowledgeable in so many areas... I'm amazed. He must be a genius. Have you read The Virgin Suicides? I was thinking of reading that one at some point, too.
