no bcs since the beginning i was like ??? are they implying heathcliff is poc?? and i was SOO convinced that he was white prior to opening this so i just thought oh he’s just poor but now it’s too clear, that man is poc and HAD I KNOWN HE WAS, i would have picked this up earlier

heathcliff not being white (and specifically being romani) is the most like buried lede in classic lit ever - no one ever talks about it and most people who have read wuthering heights seem to somehow miss it even though it felt very obvious/intentional??
