This book is very immersive and John C. Peckham has an attractive reading style.

Chapter 1 deals with free will and various theodicies; chapter 2 deals with free will and God's unfulfilled desires (God doesn't always gets what He wants) and I'm on chapter 3, which deals with the battle between God and Satan, and how this helps understand why God allows so much evil.
