This is not the edition of the book I am reading. The book I’m reading is a paperback edition published by Berkeley in either 1985 or 2002 the best I can tell. This is a gift from Bobby Underwood who is an author and my very Goodreads friend. Thanks Bobby.

Was a pretty good read. I still don’t know why Goodreads has the author by James Graham. My book was written by Jack Higgins. Any body know why?

This is an old one of his, Pop, before Henry (Harry) Patterson began using the pen name, Jack Higgins. He has some older titles he wrote, pre-Jack Higgins days, under different pen names, and this was one of those early ones of his. Now that he's super famous they reprint them with Jack Higgins on the book, to cash in on the fame he has now which he didn't have at the time he wrote fun reads like The Last Place God Made and Brought in Dead, a couple of other early ones he penned under different names that I really enjoyed, like Khufra.
Thanks Bobby. I had no idea and that explains it. Hope y’all are doing well Down Under. It’s finally gotten cold here. 33 degrees when I got up this morning.

Yes it definitely time for long-John’s here. Actually I’m wearing them now after listening to Auburn Alabama Football game and the UAB Charlotte football game. Both of my teams lost, that is Auburn and UAB. I am a UAB graduate. 2 Majors, Accounting and English. I always wanted to be a writer, but getting married while in college, having two kids fairly young , I decided to go for the $$. I got my CPA, worked for the IRS a few years, hated them, and finally started my own CPA practice which lasted quite a few years. Retired now for at least 10 to 15 years. Living the dream with my Barbara of 56 plus years.
