this book is really pretty so far already, for lack of a better term. i like the way he provides his perspective on seemingly "small" things in his childhood, both in terms of himself and the family around him, that he picked up on and did thus far, for one thing. i also like how he describes his grandmother especially with a lot of detail in terms of her appearance, personality and specific phrases she'd say too.
