A moment of laugh out loud hilarity (being reintroduced to Katz) and some beautifully written descriptions are not enough for me to continue this book at this time. I thought “traveling” once again with Bryson would be just the thing, but it wasn’t. He seemed more intent on creating humor where it wasn’t than sharing actual experiences, and was a bit denigrating describing some people.
