It's engrossing. Most definitely not a light read. Gambling, lying, financial debt, a failing marriage, teenage boys who resent you. Its tough. Jennifer Slattery keeps it realistic. She shoes addictions and sin can get messy. Life in this story is messy. The characters are so caught up in their mess that they struggle in seeing the light.

Jennifer Flattery pulls you in right away. Lots of drama already. Makes you wonder how they ended up where they are. Husband is buried in addictions and lies. Alice is struggling with what to do.
