I’m not a huge fan of Maguire’s writing… it seems like anytime anything significant happens (death, or even elphie & galinda’s growing friendship) it is written very nonchalantly and with little detail or expression. I feel like this takes away from the emotion of the event which personally I would like to revel in

The world that Maguire had created is so detailed and thoughtful. The politics, specifically social justice and classicism within the book so far are proving to be a main theme. The depth of it all is very impressive
