I love how this book affirms my love for being childless, but also reminds me that I do want to experience some bit of the lifelong community of motherhood.
My thing as of late has been that I do not want to feel pressured into having my husband’s baby. I don’t want it to feel like a requirement. I really just want it to be something we agree we want to do. Not something expected of us.

I was reading this book to give me comfort in my flip flop.
It does for sure, but it also encourages my want to experience the process of pregnancy with my future husband.
Oof.

I’ve never thought about making my decision permanent biologically…
It’s not something I’m willing to explore either because childlessness is still something that I go back and forth on. And I like that she brings up regret, because if I were to permanently alter my body, I do feel that that is something I may regret.

I go back and forth a lot on whether I’ll move into the lifelong community of motherhood (before that, it’s a requirement to move into the security of wifehood first).
As of late, I feel I’m leaning more into a childless life, because I’m enjoying the childless life I have now as I go into my 30s and I don’t want to let go of that freedom for as long as I can prolong it.
This book should be comforting.
