This is a hard read. I just finished the battle of Sand Creek. Brutal. Horrific. Barbaric. Unprovoked and just very telling as the general plan of colonizers to take every single thing they came across and breaking every promise they ever made. Just because they could. One man just deciding to override another’s promise. Over and over.

You know about it, yet learning about all the details is just very difficult.
