i hate hardcover books…like genuinely i hate how i have to read them and they feel so impractical to take around…i love to hold them in one hand while annotating and i love to break the spine and have it be malleable and mine. i don’t like how with a hardcover you have to basically have it completely open and flat. makes bedtime reading so difficult and it hurts more when you drop it.
