So our new heroine supposedly meets this elderly lady on a bus that is going to just up and offer her a place to stay. "Back in my day, we allowed soldiers into our homes to eat and sleep. Slaves who got free, we would shelter. I’m not afraid to die any more now than I was letting strangers into my home sixty years ago." Seriously! The Civil War ended in 1865, so this lady would be over 150 years old! Come on!
