Okay so a lot has happened. When i first picked it, i couldn’t read more than 2 pages after finding the descriptions of the female characters too misogynistic and ‘dirty’. “Who writes like that? Who uses this language? Is this why they call it an Urdu’s classic because how demeaning it is to women?” But now that im a quarter done? I am feeling so many different things. This isn’t just a story that revolves around a concept or two, it is way more, a piece of literature that is touching reality. i had to grasp for fresh air at a point cause of how real that part felt. Do i see myself in a character? Maybe. Do i like this book? Maybe. do i see life in this book? Yes.
