So far, I am enjoying this MUCH more than Uprooted. I think Uprooted suffers in having an unlikable, dominating “shadow daddy” trope that just wasn’t doing it for me. However, I am enjoying the flow of consciousness writing (that I read some readers don’t vibe with) and the characters are pretty interesting!
