moving along to the area of the book and Mats' life where I got into the Leafs and hockey in general and it's going to be so painful to read about. I really got in at an awful time, missing so many playoff games. also, Mats' ascendancy to the captaincy due to Börje managing to convince him is so moving.

so so special to read about mats' childhood/upbringing back home and how he found his way to the NHL. wasn't expecting the opening chapter to hit me like a ton of bricks :(( it's also so thrilling to see all these iconic names come up that i'll always be in awe of - salming, mogilny (this HHoF omission is a travesty), quinn, etc. perfect book for a leafs fan, sad i couldn't make it out to one of his signings!

I just had to read it in a breeze, couldn't get enough of it. If your dad's a huge fan, he'll love it. Mats is my favourite player of all time so I was always going to adore this, but he went above and beyond. Such a beautiful read!!
