What the actor achieves should be a total act that he does whatever he does with his entire being,&not just one mechanical(&therefore rigid)gesture of arm or leg,not any grimace,helped by a logical inflection &a
thought.No thought can guide the entire organism of an actor in any living way.It must stimulate him &that is all it really can
do.Without commitment his organism stops living,his impulses grow superficial.

This chapter on Dr. Faustus was a bit boring. It focused more on the sequence of scenes and what happens in each one, rather than the actual performance and acting. (It consists of some notes taken by one of the production team members, not Grotowski’s own words.) I did, however, like the attached photos of the production.

این فصل درباره‌ تئاتر آکروپولیس به کارگردانی گروتفسکی بود. نسخه‌ فیلمبرداری‌شده‌اش رو پیدت کردم و بخش‌هاییش رو دیدم و خیلی به تجسم بهتر و درک بهتر نوشته‌ها کمک کرد. حیف که زیرنویس انگلیسی براش پیدا نکردم و خیلی هم بی‌کیفیت بود.
