The remaining short story is Ed Lee's work so I am looking forward to it. The three stories tonight did not fair well with a pity rating of 2 Stars, a generous 3 Stars, and a single 4 Stars tonight, a tale named "Pig". My status updates on this one have been spartan. Remember I will follow up with a Book Review after I finish the anthology, naming titles and ratings. I will be reading Ed Lee's The Crew.

The stories are picking up momentum and I am reading some stars. Last two tales from female authors 4 Stars and (I think) the second 5 Stars I have read in the anthology. It was from the talented Candace Nola so I expected something great and she delivered.

The last few stories have been disappointing but for"Hard Head" rated 4 Stars. I will be finishing this up tomorrow and hopefully writing the book review. Anthologies are rated by their content, or specifically how the stories are rated. I average the ratings and it becomes the book's rating. I had high hopes for this one, but maybe the tide will turn.

Easy Money was our next short story. It was original, lots of gore, a surprise ending. Solid 4 Stars.

Crazy Horse was the next story in sequence. It was the exact plot idea I read in a novel, one not by the writer of this story. It was the core idea but embellished differently. I am not sure about whether you can lift the idea from a book and then build a different heroine and different obstacles. I need to figure out if that is plagiarism.

This anthology was just released this year and the author dedicates it to "the late great Richard Laymon" in his Foreword. The anthology also sports a brand new novella courtesy of the living legend of Splatterpunk Ed Lee. I read the first two stories. The first tale was a disappointment. The second story earned a solid 5 Stars. I am enjoying this anthology thus far.
