Took a lot away from this chapter and even more from processing it in my therapist book club. 🫀 Treatment is more effective when we are honest with our clients instead of overly protecting them, countertransferance is inevitable and we must acknowledge it + be mindful of how we may be stepping into the role of parents in the parent/child role with our clients.
