Utterly stunning. R.F.Kuang’s writing is simply beautiful and involving. I loved Robin’s relationship with his peers so far, although I know it won’t last for long. Moreover, as a reluctant person, I would be terrified to do what he’s just done. Pairing up with Griffin in his quest to steal silver would be too risky for me. Whereas, I understand why he’s done it and admire it, while being scared for him.

I’m so glad they struck. Even in the eye of the hurricane, they are managing their way out.

the book. And especially now that they are all together with Hermes, I just love it. I think it really is this year’s all time favorite for me, and it can actually be my favorite book ever.

A lot has happened. I was scared that I would only like the book while they were all friends and thriving. Even though I didn’t absolutely love the Canton chapters, I loved how they put their years of friendship and camaraderie in front of everything to help Robin in the end. Of course, Robin had done that for V and R before so it was the least. But, even in the eye of the hurricane, I kept getting more in love w/

I’m sad they fought. I loved their friendship.I’m also confused by Ramy’s point of view. They are outcasters. R and V couldn’t succeed in British Society as Robin could, which means Ro was being extremely negligent with his friends’ conditions in Babel and in England by leaving Hermes society. As much as I was scared for him, he should have stayed. Not only for him, but for the others.Though I need to think+

This page had one of the most beautiful paragraphs I have ever read. I feel deeply connected with the characters, especially regarding their student lives and relationships with each other in the midst of it. I also understand why Robin quit Hermes, it would scare me as well. But I do feel they might be doing the right thing historically, so,even amidst fright, I think he should and will come back. The book is lovely
