66% in and I just can’t keep going. Sure the prose is lovely. I’m not connecting to any of the characters. There’s a lot of ‘tell’ instead of ‘show’ happening. It’s really starting to feel like a slog at this point. If I’m going to invest time in a longer book like this, I’ll need to be getting much more enjoyment out of it bottom line.
