I wish I had read a different Ian McEwan book first, since this storyline really did not grip me for the first 150 pages or so. He draws some interesting parallels that initially contributed very little for me. But they needed time (!!) and NOW I am excited for more. A close study of life and change as crudely bundled decisions, spattered across space and time. Required patience, well worth it! Hope to finish soon
