I cannot get over the issue of the sister Mel dating a man seven years older. She's nineteen, a year behind, but at my school there is NO WAY someone his age could go to the PROM! Seriously, this part is ruining what is an otherwise an ironically written spoof on the trends in YA lit, and a fascinating look at OCD.
