No reading challenge for me in 2025. I’ve done a goodreads challenge since 2014, and next year is the year that I’m probably going to end it. I think because of goodreads, booktok, bookstagram, and booktube there’s a pressure to just read read read and always be thinking about your next book.

This year I’ve done a lot of reflecting and for next year I’m going to focus on books I want to read besides reading as many as I can, whether it’s 2 books or 100. As a lifelong reader, I personally feel like a lot of the books that are currently on the market are junk food and we’re consuming too much instead of in moderation. And I’ve been putting off so many big books I know I would like in favor of short less than 200 page books for the sake of consuming as much as I can for a challenge. So in 2025 I’m going to stay off book media as much as I can and only read what I wanna read whenever I want to.
