The conversation between Robin, Ramy, and Victoire on p.284 demonstrates exactly what my problem with this book is, I think.

Robin goes on about why he couldn’t tell either of them about the Hermes society, but we didn’t get any of those thoughts or considerations back when he was actively going through that period. It just felt like he just didn’t think about it. Frustrating.
