The h is annoying & judgmental. frequently declaring other people’s lives to be boring. Who is she to judge? tedious to constantly be reminded of how well travel she was how she was this novelist how cool how exciting she was supposed to be etc and all that in the book also alluded to her and Brody having a more intimate relationship. She will say something with it trolling off. You can almost hear the wink wink.
