Reading some of the first pages had me a little emotional (rare). But going further I'm not like, super duper inspired, with fairly obvious/straightforwardly-presented themes. I mean, the topics are still very meaningful, but I don't feel like I'm engaging in them in a super interesting way so far. Outside of this just generally being an opportunity to think about gender. Still, neat!

Okay actually it was pretty cute, and sort of clever and interesting. I think it's still taking the approach of "frequently having the characters talk about the main theme", but I suppose that's fine. And there are some moments where I can just enjoy the characters interacting with each other in various situations, and then infer my own meaning. Maybe, I think.
