So far this story is a delight!!! The start is a super cool historical fantasy with Welsh magical creatures and gorgeously written scenes. The setting and the development of the magic of this alternate version of our world is fascinating. I’m mostly a stranger to Welsh folklore but the inclusions of dragons and the Mari Lwyd are very cool references to what I do know! I’d love to see a qualified folklorist’s feelings

The setting is a lot of fun and I still love the whimsy of the magic!!!
The love “triangle” (which is really a love V) is poorly done and there’s no question which guy she’s going to choose. It’s also obvious whom the author favors, as Dafydd’s chapters are half the length of Taliesin’s. Dafydd could have been a cool character on his own if the subplot of his arc was unrelated to the romance.
