The story unfolds with much contemplations of possible paths of failed/ complicated relationships and loves, being worked out by each character through the inner dialogues. Sally Rooney writes for the self absorbed, the not-so-normal people, those who do not take the conventional path that the majority of society follows, the ones who try their rightful path, instead of keeping up with others.
