The stakes have risen at this point. John's recounting of his attempted ambush of a British foot patrol had me on the edge of my seat. The explanation of the passion and mental fortitude you needed to volunteer in the IRA is chilling. It took me a bit to get here but I'm really liking the pace and personality John writes with.
