Reading about Coleridge's final days was quite a downer.

I didn't know that English med students in the early 19th century needed to go to Scotland because Cambridge and Oxford had no medical school.

I thought the section on French literature would be more interesting, but the Durants focus mostly on the literary figures vs. Nappy.

If you can tell a lot about people from their enemies, I'm more impressed with Nappy now than ever.
